Italian Festival 2008

On Sunday, August 10 of 2008, the Erie Times-News published the following favorable article by Steven M. Sweeney about the annual Italian Festival at St. Paul Catholic Church in the heart of Erie's Historic Little Italy, along with a photo by Jack Hanrahan of church volunteers Richard Vendetti and Russ Patsy cooking up massive quantities of sausage and peppers.

The article said 800 people attended Friday and over a thousand people attended Saturday, some coming from as far away as Pittsburgh.

The Italian Festival is a staple in our neighborhood and has always been a popular family event, even a traditional gathering for many people. Events like this are one of the most highly prized assets of the Historic Little Italy community.
