EMTA stops, public and private parking lots,
intersection improvements, entrances and exits for
parking lots, infill development, utility poles and
overhead wires and cables. If possible,
begin construction of
improvements. |

Begin planning & design of two
additional gateways, preferably the murals
and lighting related to the two railroad
overpasses, and pursue
funding. Construct the
first two gateways on West 18th Street. |

Confirm design of piazza at 16th
& Walnut Streets, retain a design firm to
design and cost out the project,
pursue funding and begin
property acquisition. |

Plan and construct one additional parking
area along West 18th Street. |

Expand membership and activities of the Garden

on north side of 200 block of West 16th
Street, working with property and business
owners; Acquire a cost estimate
and investigate funding for the

Identify a public gathering area
along West 18th Street, working with the
Economic Development Committee to
implement a comfotable, safe, green, well-lit
public space, possibly adding a
kiosk for public notices, bulletins, and
other general notices. |

Begin approaching property owners
along West 18th Street regarding recommendations
for their individual properties, discussing ideas,
options, financing assistance, relocation
opportunities, etc. |

Work with City and EMTA regarding the
addition of transit shelters at
key locations within the neighborhood and begin
planning construction of at least one transit
shelter. |
